The Story of Roscoe:
Also known as Riley's "Bestest Friend Ever". Roscoe is a 20-21 year old Blue Roan. He is 15'2 hands and only 846lbs. He is a new addition to our Klan only been with us for about a week so far. He came to us from another rescue in Jasper AR, He is VERY underweight the luster in his coat is gone and his feet were horribly long and he has pretty server Laminitis in his front right hoof. We are working closely with our farrier to correct this problem. He has been wonderful since he came to us and loves to have his ears rubbed and brushed. He practically puts his halter on himself when you come in the pen and will even drop his head for Riley to halter him. He is being kept up until his feet are better and he packs on the groceries . Which is his second favorite Hobie next to being spoiled by Riley, which is eating..We are not sure if he can be ridden yet, we don't want to try it due to his low weight and his foot, but even if he cant be ridden Riley plans on making him his sidekick by spoiling him with apples and peppermints.

UPDATE: Nov 8

date on picture is wrong

This is Princess:
This is Scout's Momma, She was a 5 when we got her, she was slightly under weight and in much need of some pampering. I started training her for hunter under saddle, but her canter was just too fast, so we tried something else, barrels..NOW that was her thing, to run, she loved to run, drop her hip and shoulder and turn the cans. when i noticed her jerking down on the bit out of the turn i knew something was wrong..YELP...she was pregnant (not showing) and the baby was pulling down on a slipped disc in her back. We had to give her adiquen shots everyday till the baby was born and adjust her back to make her comfortable. She was such a sweetheart i was able to give riding lessons off her and use her to run the colors at rodeos without her even offering to flinch..she is back with her owners and doing well...She came to us with another horse..Taz a 13year old QH gelding (in the black and white picture), Taz had joint problems and from being roped off of too hard had a permanent limp, unfortunately there wasn't much we could do but relieve the pain the best way we knew how..we will miss him..
